Sunny Hours…
sing a song of sunny hours,
dreaming with the bees and flowers.
sing a song of babbling brooks,
dancing on by shady nooks.

sing a song of happy praise,
thankful for these sunny days.
sing a song of softest breeze,
blowing gently through the trees.

sing a song of joyous light,
making all the world so bright.
sing a song of happy praise,
thankful for these sunny days.

Important Dates:
Wednesday, July 4th: School Closed
Monday, July 9th-Friday, July 13th: Summer Break School Closed
Tuesday, July 24th: Parent Society Meeting @ 7pm

Arrival/Departure….

We would like to send a heartfelt thank you to each of our parents for their understanding and cooperation as we transitioned to our new Arrival/Departure routine.  We honestly could not have imagined what a difference it would make but during these very busy times of day the new routine has helped us to work more efficiently and in the mornings we are able to begin our rhythm of the day sooner.  We hope this routine has also been easier for you and please know you are welcome to enjoy the grounds or picnic tables with your child prior to their being received at the front door or back play yard gate.

Parent Society

We appreciate all the parents that came out for our last Parent Society Meeting! We made several announcements and focused on Rhythm within the home as our topic.  All families were sent away with a “homework assignment” and resources.  We will re-convene to share our ideas and specifically discuss meal planning at our next meeting on July, 24th at 7pm.  All parents are members of our Parent Society and invited to attend. Please see Leslie or Andrea if you would like a handout from our May meeting.

Volunteer Opportunities:

We would appreciate the help of anyone with the following skills who would like to tackle these projects in order to receive volunteer credit.  Some tasks may be scheduled around the availability of a team of parents.

1) Laying Laminate Flooring in the Treehouse
2) Installation of a French Door where a wall with 2 windows currently exists in K/1st classroom
3) Enclosure of a small area outside side entry of K/1st classroom to serve as coatroom

Special thanks to David Preslar for painting the small feed barn red, the children are happy to have a “real” barn.
