Summer is here…. Time to make the switch to Summer gear! We are recommending a sunhat for each child along with comfortable clothing made from natural fibers. Don’t forget to label personal items! Footwear should adequately protect your child’s feet and be appropriate for running about the farm! Flip-flops and open-toed Sandals are prohibited. Also please ensure spare clothing and nap items are seasonally appropriate. A lightweight blanket large enough to cover your child completely and a sheet/blanket to cover the provided napmats are best for comfort.
Day for Dads We would like to invite all our Dads (or important men in the life of your child)to join us on Monday, June 18th from 8:30-9:30am! This casual event will be an opportunity for your child to give Dad a little tour around the farm and enjoy a breakfast snack together. You are welcome to attend and bring your child even if they do not normally attend on Mondays.
Parent Society We appreciate all the parents that came out for our last Parent Society Meeting! We made several announcements and focused on Rhythm within the home as our topic. All families were sent away with a “homework assignment” and resources. We will re-convene to share our ideas and specifically discuss meal planning at our next meeting on July, 24th at 7pm. All parents are members of our Parent Society and invited to attend. Please see Leslie or Andrea if you would like a handout from our May meeting.
Reminder: Our “Summer Hours” take effect on Monday, June 11th! Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 4:45 pm
Our program hours for MDO (Mother’s Day Out) will remain the same, 8:30 am-3:30 pm.
We would appreciate the help of anyone with the following skills who would like to tackle these projects in order to receive volunteer credit. Some tasks may be scheduled around the availability of a team of parents.
1) Laying Laminate Flooring in the Treehouse
2) Installation of a French Door where a wall with 2 windows currently exists in K/1st classroom
3) Installation of a wood deck, ground level, outside K/1st Classroom
4) Enclosure of a small area outside side entry of K/1st classroom to serve as coatroom
5) Painting the small feed barn red to make the children happy! They want a real barn.
On the lookout… Between yard sales, summer cleaning and flea market finds help us keep an eye out for these items! Your donations are always appreciated!
