Hey Farm Families,
Just a quick reminder that if you haven't already RSVP'd for the Pizza Potluck and Bridging Ceremony , Saturday, June 2, 6-8pm, please do so today. I want to ensure I make plenty of pizza dough.
Also, next week is out final week of parent-teacher conferences. If you haven't signed up yet there are still a couple slots available.
Congrats to all the big kids welcoming another Summer! Hope to see everyone tomorrow.
GEDS families (and families who have reserved enrollment for their children at GEDS) are reminded that there is a Parent Society meeting tomorrow night, Tuesday, May 22, at 7:00 PM. We will be kicking off our "Summer of Simplicity" where we will begin working in our own households to make family life (and all that it entails) more efficient and joyful. We will work over the next few months on establishing a daily/weekly/monthly family rhythm, conducting age-appropriate family meetings, menu planning, and more! Take away materials to help you dig in and get started!

The Digital Cleanse: Turning off screens and tuning into life!
This year "Spring Cleaning" has taken on a whole new meaning in our household. My husband and myself embarked on a renewed quest to eat clean and pledged to be more physically active as a family. I also began purging all unused and unwanted goods room by room in our household in an effort to simplify our lives. So when I took on organizing Screen-Free week for the school and read through the materials provided by the Campaign for a Commercial-Free Childhood I quickly realized that this was one more area that could use a little...

March has come in like a lion with fierce winds that have rustled up our spirits as we look toward Spring! Just a reminder that we will be closed for Spring Break next week, March 12th-16th!
Parent Society Meeting
Our second Parent Society Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 27th at 7:00pm. All parents are members and encouraged to attend. The meeting will open with any Society Business. Our educational topic will be some specific Waldorf child development information that we gained from a recent training and Felting will be our craft component. We will conclude with a brief...
Anyone interested in Waldorf-inspired elementary education is invited to join us tonight, Tuesday, February 21st at 7pm at the Farm School. Details and information about our combined Kindergarten/1st Grade program will be shared. We are also gauging interest for enrichment or combined classes for upper grades. For those unable to join us send an email and we will follow-up with more information.
February is here and it is a busy time of year! Please bear with us as we have a number of reminders and information for this newsletter.
The children have been excited to see the changes around the school and especially enjoying our newest animal friends, Pygmy Goats, Smokey and Bandito. We will spend this month talking about Hearts-Spreading Love and Flames-Shadows.
The children will celebrate the upcoming Valentine holiday with a Friendship Tea.We will have a celebration on both the 14th and the 15th at 3pm that will include special games and treats for our tea party....
We had many requests for a follow-up to last night's first Parent Society meeting. Thanks for your interest! Each meeting will begin with our verse to set the intention, a reading of the mission statement, followed by any Society business. There will be a period for questions followed by a parent education opportunity or demonstration. The meetings will conclude with a social period with refreshments. All school parents are members of the Parent Society.
