Pumpkin, pumpkin on the ground
How did you get so big and round?
Once you were a seed so small!
Now your like a giant ball!
Today we took a stroll through the fairy forest, enjoyed practicing balance on the balancing logs and jumped off the logs! Great fun! Our friends are enjoying serving themselves their second, third and sometimes fourth serving of lunch! They have big appetites and are always interested in food! Snack is a very popular word amongst this crowd!
Good morning! With the amount of rain that we have received thus far, we have decided to cancel the Stone Soup Supper for tonight. We will reschedule the event to coincide with the Lantern Walk in November.
The new date for the Stone Soup Supper and the Lantern Walk will be Saturday, November 15 at 3:30. With daylight savings time in effect at that time, sunset will be at 5:34 PM [approximate], so we will eat prior to the sun setting with the Lantern Walk immediately following. We will send out a new sign up for the event as we get closer.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause...
Don't forget the Stone Soup Supper tomorrow night at 5:30! Bring a blanket or chairs, your soup bowls and spoons and your soup/side dish/dessert!
Rain has been forecasted, but we are optimistic that it will hold off! A decision regarding cancellation will he announced by 1 pm tomorrow via email and blog posts.
We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow evening!
Lap games are an important part of connecting with young children. We have been playing many lap games In the Saplings class, including an old favorite, Ride That Horsey.
Ride a little horsey
Down to the town
Ooops, little horsey
We all fall down.

There have been eruptions of giggles as the children delight in this play with their caregiver.
We have been working on phrases such as more please, thank you as well as singing our mealtime blessing. The children love the fire fairy dancing atop the candle during lunch. Our oldest friend, Max, served everyone...
There are some afternoons when a little one awakes earlier than his or her classmates and they come out to the kitchen to visit. Since I am in and out of classrooms, preparing food and afternoon administrative tasks in my office, also known as the kitchen at farm school, it's nice to have a break in my work to visit.
This little guy helped me package up snack. He was actually quality control. Those little cherub-like feet dangling from the chair and that little smile is something to cherish. In the hustle and bustle of our day, it was nice to have a few minutes of conversation, a smile and hug from...
Fresh baked bread is a yummy treat,
Filled with love and warmth and wheat,
Knead the dough and let it rise,
And soon you’ll have a big surprise,
From the water, flour, and yeast,
Grows a golden, delicious feast.
Welcome, first day of Autumn! We enjoyed mild temperatures and at times, just enough of a breeze to give you an ever so slight chill!
The Saplings enjoy the privacy of the backyard in the mornings after the hustle and bustle of morning drop off! You will find them climbing, digging, swinging and enjoying the quiet peacefulness of having the space all to themselves!
The butter chicken with aromatic garam masala spices and rich, fatty coconut rice hit the spot today!
