 In Our Daily Rhythm

School Announcements:

Please remember that Queso, our full-size horse, can not have hay due to his age and the “grit power” of his teeth! Also note that Queso is enjoying a little more space outside his pen, so please do not enter the field to pet the animals without a teacher or owner. We wouldn’t want anyone to get hurt, and Abby (our donkey) is starting to squeeze through the gate when someone is not looking. She made it onto Crystal Falls Parkway in December, and almost did it again in January!
Highlights from the Infant Room:
The infants enjoyed the fresh air via the Bumbo bus this morning. Ms. Caprice read and sang to the children including “You Are My Sunshine”. Ali and Gage enjoy playing together, sharing toys and Emma Grace is a big napper, missing out on many activities! Such is the life a 2 month old!
Highlights from the Toddler Room:
Welcome to our friend Maya! She had a great day with Luke, Jack and Vivian. Everyone enjoyed playing with the nesting cups, the play kitchen along with listening to music and crawling through the play tunnel! We enjoyed the black bean burritos and were exhausted and ready for nap time.
Highlights from the Twos Room:
The children enjoyed a long wagon ride to see the animals. They were greeted by Abby and Lily who were eager to see the children. We sang our ABCs, read many books and ate a hearty lunch! We also drew with beeswax crayons and built with Legos.
Highlights from the PreK:
Leslie’s group enjoyed re-reading “Little Red Riding Hood”. Today, we acted out the story in Community Time. Catherine made a great Little Red, Ashley was the grandmother, Iris was the wolf, and Matt was Red’s father, the Woodcutter. We worked on our bread baking rhyme–marching it, clapping it, signing it. Leslie drew “mountain” letters for the children, and they enjoyed turning an A into a volcano. An N became a snow-capped mountain. Everyone enjoyed the beautiful sunshine. Our hand got a good workout kneading bread, when we again sang and recited the bread baking rhyme in small groups. Indoor play included trains, dominoes, dress-up, and working at the writing table. Isaac is a potty superstar! Noah and Cole have taking a real liking to one another, and it was great to see our friend Claudia today. Ashley loves the kittens, and Asa, Caeden, and Cameron love to ride bikes. Landon loves the train set and the animals–glad he’s feeling better.
