Community: we gave our fingers a workout with fingerplays and songs, read nursery rhymes, and a story about a sheep dog called “Farm Dog”, we started talking about how we might get to take care of some farm animals some day, we enjoyed meeting Miles’ visiting cousine, Trevi!
Fine Motor: building structures and creatures with our new “kidknex” fine motor toys, used kid tools to do work at the work bench and to screw together bolts/nuts, puzzles
Pretend: cooking in the play kitchen with new food, playing restaurant and house
Cooking: the children will make strawberry frozen yogurt this afternoon and will enjoy the yogurt tomorrow for snack. Colton, Asa, Olivia, Iris, and Katie cracked eggs for breakfast. Thanks to Matt for setting the table!
Outside: water boxes with scoops, eye droppers, and funnels, riding bikes of all sizes, sandbox, building a “campfire” with small rocks and sticks
Breakfast: scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, tortillas, milk
Lunch: ranch-style beans and brown rice, oranges, tossed salad, milk
Snack: homemade vanilla milkshakes, pretzels, water
