  • All too often teachers go far too long without hearing how much they are appreciated. Good Earth is family to us – every staff member fills our lives with joy and so we wanted to send you some love and cookies to show how much we care. . . . Thank you for taking such amazing care of our girls and allowing them to flourish in your care.

  • This is the first time my child has been away from the home and the transition into a pre-school atmosphere has been so gentle and easy. I am so impressed with the caring nature of the staff, the focus on outdoor play and exploration, and the thoughtfulness that goes into the nutritious meal planning. Kids need to be kids. They need to run outside, get dirty, and pretend play all while learning responsibility and knowing that they, too, can help! The Farm School fosters and brings that out in each child every day. My child's sense of self, his vocabulary, and his expressive language have all deepened in just these first few months at Farm School. This school is the standard to which all other preschools should be held. I could not imagine a better place for my child and my family.

  • We cannot say enough about how great Good Earth has been to our family and are so very thankful for everyone who has helped teach and protect our son and daughter over the past 6 years. There are so many great things you have done for our children, and they loved it there!

  • We are loving how friendly, kind and gentle the teachers have been with our son. He comes home with many fun stories to tell about the adventures he has had in his Treehouse class. We enjoy seeing the children playing outside in the photos you post to both Instagram and Facebook. We really cherish the small moments that you share with us because we love seeing what he has participated in throughout the day.

  • Just wanted to say I had such a great time being with the Kinder class this morning. Your school and its program are so impressive and you have such a conducive environment for unrestricted learning. And I greatly appreciate that. It makes me sad to know [girl] will not have this when she enters public school next year. So I’m soaking in everything I can. Thank you for sharing with me and all you and your kind staff do.

  • My daughter has been attending the school going on her 5th month now. She attended a part-time school when she was 18 months old for a month but it just seemed too difficult on us both... she cried every time I dropped her off and was waiting by the door with tears in her eyes waiting for me to pick her up. I also had to come up with a lunch for her and never really got a clear sense of what she was doing between the tears. Enter Good Earth School. I heard about it through another mommy and went to look at their website straight away. We put her on the waitlist sight unseen. What we saw in the pictures and read in the testimonials was more than enough to know we wanted this. We waited like anxious children desperately wanting to be picked for dodgeball. Fortunately for us we only had to wait a few short months to get our daughter to start attending Sapling class 3 days a week. I think we were more excited than my daughter was on the first day and meet and greet. It just seemed too good to be true. They have their own garden! They help make bread! They have animals! They need boots for the muddy days! I want to go to this school and still do... the teachers sing my daughter in the door every morning and brushes her hair and sprays lavender after their nap. Instead of crying because she's ready to leave, my daughter now cries because she has to leave. This is a magical school and place for children and parents alike. I hope my daughter can stay here as long as possible and her brother can join her too in the not so distant future. Thank you Good Earth School for bringing so much fun, imagination and care into our lives. We will never forget you!

  • We wanted to thank you for all of your work with our sweet boy! He has enjoyed Farm School so much this past year – we have seen so much growth in him in all areas, but the thing that has struck us most is his capacity for compassion, empathy and his ability to verbalize his feelings. We know y’all had a BIG part of that!

  • Thank you so much for preparing our daughter for kindergarten. She has had a wonderful week and a half. She is eager to attend each day and does her homework each night. Good Earth Farm School was a wonderful experience for our family. We wish you a great school year.

  • Our boys, 3 and 4, really love this school and we could not be more pleased. The changes that we have seen in them over the past four months have been amazing to watch. The first thing that we noticed was that they began to play together, cooperatively. The second thing was their imaginations as they began to find simple objects and develop a story around them. Most recently we have been pleasantly surprised with their self-control and manners which we know we have had too little to do with. But the best indication for us is that they simply love getting up and going to school. We have another child on the way and as soon as possible they too will be going to Farm School!

  • I would like to thank you for all those years of support and warmth that are turning into a very fond memory. I feel so grateful to have found the perfect place for those formative first years and I couldn’t be happier about it. I know not everything in life will be going as smoothly and right but I am so thankful to have had this start into life for our daughter.

  • There are not enough positive words in the dictionary to describe GEDS. Amazing teachers that nurture, foster, encourage, and provide our children with the tools to grow in life. They are fabulous at directing your child in a positive way that is smooth and easy for both children and parents.

  • Truly amazing place! My now 3 year old daughter has been going here for a year and I can't say enough good things about the staff and facility...Lunch and two snacks are provided each day and the food is amazing. A typical lunch might include organic produce and lentils or beans, rice and guacamole. My daughter loves all the different foods and I know they are always feeding her the very best. Definitely no processed foods here!

  • My 2.5 year old son has been attending Good Earth Farm school for 6 months and we're just in love with it. As a single full-time working mom, I had a really hard time getting used to the idea of sending my son to a full-time school at such a young age. But I can honestly and truly say that he has blossomed there. His language and social skills have developed so much. He's in the Saplings class and loves talking about all of his little friends and teachers when he's at home. My absolute favorite thing about farm school is how they spend so much time outdoors. My son comes home tired and dirty and talks about his "nature walks". I love that it's play-based, and that they don't send home dozens of art projects per month. I love the all-natural materials, the wooden toys, and the home environment in a center setting. My son helps make lunches, wash dishes, clean up the tables, sweeps. And the ANIMALS! He's always raving about the goats and the bunnies and the cat. It's just such a wonderful, loving preschool. And the food for the young kids is vegetarian, organic, local, and seems to be quite tasty.

I can't recommend this school enough.

  • This school honors that 'nature is our best teacher'. As a 20 year early childhood educator this is best school I have seen in my career and I have done hundreds of school visits.

  • My favorite preschool ever! The kids made their own lunches, "worked" the farm. So glad to have been a part of it.

  • Our child is opening up beautifully at the Good Earth Farm School. After showing some signs of distress to crowded classroom situations, the Farm School opens a world of comfortable spaces and activities for friendships to bloom. He loves the focused “chores” and food prep in contrast to unrestrained outdoor yards to run and play. Our teacher handles him beautifully. Thanks for a home away from home farm school!

  • We love love love farm school! It takes a special group to tolerate my crazy two-year old triplets and a frazzled mama. Everyone at farm school is courtesy, professional, helpful, caring, and PATIENT. We'd be lost without our farm school friends and the wonderful staff who loves my babies so much. Thank you for everything you do!

  • After being home with me for 4 years, we decided it was time to put my son in part time school to get him prepared for Kinder the following year. After researching so many places, we couldn't be more happy with our decision to send him to Good Earth. He goes twice a week part time and on the days he doesn't go, he often gets upset because he loves it so much. I can always tell he has the time of his life, he comes home most days with sand in his hair and dirt on his feet. I can't speak highly enough of the staff either, very attentive and caring.

  • Today, picking up my 3 year old from farm school with my 6 year old in tow (the older is now in first grade at a public school but went to GEFS from age 3-5), I was reminded how unbelievably lucky we have been to have found GEFS. The scene: watching my boys collect hundreds of pecans after gleefully greeting each other and saying goodbye to the wonderful teachers for the day, beaming in their discoveries and sharing tips on how best to crack their treasures from the natural world. This marveling in the outdoors is only one of the beautiful traits they’ve strengthened at farm school—their ability to communicate lovingly with peers and adults, their confidence in their natural abilities, their compassion toward people and nature have all been (and continue to be) encouraged by the wonderful teachers and director of GEFS. There is an undeniable feel of family there—not just because of the homey setting, but mostly because of the care given to each other and to the simplest, most nurturing tasks like cooking together and singing soft, gentle mealtime songs. Our third baby is due in three weeks, and when he's old enough, I will gleefully begin parent-child Seedlings Fridays as I did with my first two kids—a lovely transition into the farm school family(for the parents as much as the children). I cannot imagine a family not loving Good Earth. The staff are incredible and the setting and level of care are un-matchable. Highest recommendations from a happy GEFS family!

  • The rhythm has been the same for years, and the teachers have such kind hearts and gentle spirits. The children work with their hands kneading bread, setting out place-mats for lunch, and learn to work together to get farm chores done. Farm chores include collecting vegetables from the garden, checking on the animals, and organizing the rain boots. The children sing songs, climb, dance, and come home dirty. Any day at Good Earth is a good day. My son started on the wait list. I remember the phone call still when they let me know My son would have a spot. He started at 18 months and will turn 7 in January. We still drop in on those days when he doesn’t have school in Leander, and have attended Farm School’s summer camp for the last two summers. We still swing in the rope swing and try to find the farm cat Aurora who is very friendly. Farm School will always hold a very special place in our heart.
