Monday

AM Snack:  Cinnamon toast

Lunch:  Vegetarian fried rice [scrambled eggs, vegetables, basmati rice]

PM Snack:  Pretzels

Children’s work:  crack and whisk eggs, measure rice for cookers

 

Tuesday

AM Snack:  Popcorn with butter and cinnamon

Lunch:  Chicken stroganoff [oven roasted chicken, pasta, mushrooms, school swiss chard, cream cheese, half & half], fresh baked bread with butter

PM Snack:  Popchips

Children’s work:  wash and slice mushrooms, harvest school swiss chard/wash/chop, mix and knead bread dough

 

Wednesday

AM Snack:  Apples with honey yogurt dip

Lunch:  Vegetarian taco bowl [crushed tortilla chips, avocado, pintos, school spinach, shredded cheese]

PM Snack:  Raisins

Children’s work:  harvest/wash/chop spinach, mash avocado and season

 

Thursday

AM Snack:  Grapefruit and orange slices

Lunch: Smoked sausage and rice [smoked sausage, steamed basmati rice, roasted red peppers]

PM Snack: 1/2 apple

Children’s work: slice sausage, measure rice for rice cooker, clean and deseed peppers for roasting

 

Friday

AM Snack: Berry shredded wheat with almond milk

Lunch: Hummus, cucumber slices, crackers and applesauce

PM Snack: Whole grain bars
