Monday

AM:  wheat toast w/ butter, cantaloupe slices (children make toast and spread butter)

Lunch:  homemade tomato basil soup, Parmesan cheese, crackers (children assemble soup in crockpots with teachers)

PM:  Annie’s snack packs

Tuesday

AM:  carrots and school-grown cherry tomatoes, hummus

Lunch:  homemade beef and bean chili, tortilla chips (children assemble chili in crockpots with teachers)

PM:  watermelon and pineapple slices

Wednesday

AM:  apple slices, popcorn, honey sticks (children help slices apples and pop popcorn in a hot air popper)

Lunch:  pasta salad (organic pasta, pepperoni, homemade Italian vinaigrette, green peas)

PM:  banana

Thursday

AM:  vanilla yogurt and homemade granola

Lunch:  barbecue meatballs, basmati rice, baby spinach w/ homemade vinaigrette (children help teachers prep rice/water/salt in rice cookers)

PM:  crackers

Friday

AM:  banana w/ rice cakes and peanut butter (children spread butter on rice cakes and help cut open honey sticks)

Lunch:  lasagna w/ meat sauce, broccoli

PM:  pretzels
