*children help prepare rice in rice cookers (measuring), help slices fruits

Tuesday
AM: celery and cucumber slices, homemade ranch dip
Lunch: quinoa w/ marinara and mozzarella, homemade bread w/ butter
PM: veggie stick snacks

*marinara warmed in crockpots, quinoa cooked in rice cookers, children bake bread, children help make dip

Wednesday
AM: bananas
Lunch: homemade vegetable beef soup, crackers
PM: golden apples

*children assemble soup and cook in crockpots (ground beef browned in kitchen in morning)

Thursday
AM:
Lunch: homemade bean dip and tortilla chips, homemade chunky cinnamon applesauce w/ maple syrup
PM: pretzels

*children peel, dice Granny smith apples, cook in crockpot w/ cinnamon and maple syrup

Friday
AM: whole grain toast w/ butter
Lunch: turkey, crackers, baby carrots, homemade dip
PM: Back to Nature snack bags

*children toast bread in classroom
