In Our Daily Rhythm, Rhymes, Songs & Stories

Lap games are an important part of connecting with young children. We have been playing many lap games In the Saplings class, including an old favorite, Ride That Horsey.

Ride a little horsey
Down to the town
Ooops, little horsey
We all fall down.
(Let child fall through legs)

There have been eruptions of giggles as the children delight in this play with their caregiver.

We have been working on phrases such as more please, thank you as well as singing our mealtime blessing. The children love the fire fairy dancing atop the candle during lunch. Our oldest friend, Max, served everyone seconds at lunch! He followed up with licking the serving spoon!
