Highlights from the Infant and Toddler Rooms:
Note that we have one lesson plan for the two classes with an individual set of goals for each child for the week as well as repeating experiences that include books, songs, sensory activities, and more!

The Toddler class played with the parachute and enjoyed up close time with Abby and Lily Belle outside. Orion even said “Abby”. Crawling and playing peek-a-boo in the tunnel was a hit. Mother Goose nursery rhymes were read by Caprice to both classes. Gage is sitting up on his own and doing well! Jack likes his new class and is more confident standing and roving around the room. Luke is a certified bookworm–he goes to the book basket upon waking and just about anything else. Alex is crawling all over, and Ali likes to crack up at things she finds funny. Ali loves to give Gage toys. Emma is a sleepyhead–she likes to sleep at school better than anywhere.

Highlights from the Twos Room: Today the children enjoyed singing “Head-Shoulders-Knees and Toes”. The new word for today was “snake”. The children worked with puzzles and recognizing the animals on the puzzle. We are praticing cleaning up toys after play. During morning outside time, the children were treated to wagon rides around the farm in small groups! We had a fun day!

Highlights from the PreK:
On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, the PreK is split into two groups. Michelle has the downstairs group and Leslie the upstairs. We hope to open the PreK downstairs on Mondays and Fridays, too, as soon as enrollment permits.

Today both classes enjoyed a retelling of this week’s tale-“Little Red Riding Hood”–by some of our school age friends who have a break this week. Both groups worked with Zen garden trays that Michelle made with kosher salt, shells, stones, and a fork “rake”. We modeled beeswax in our hands while listening to a story. Friends in both classes began work writing letters that look like mountains (AMNVW)–either upside down mountains or right side up mountains. Work with Jamie outside was fun, as was walking the labyrinth.
