Every Tuesday, we’ll be joining Kathy from Bliss Beyond Nap Time celebrating simplicity. Families active in the Good Earth Day School’s Parent Society are taking a few months to look at their to do lists and consider ways to simplify chores and delegate tasks. We look forward to all the great ideas our school families have!

One idea that simplifies cleaning in our homes and in our two-story school, is maintaining a well-stocked cleaning caddy upstairs and downstairs. Our caddies include cleaners, cloths, sponges and brushes. We also keep a broom, dust pan, mop and mop bucket on each floor to eliminate transporting these items between floors.

•This allows two people to clean simultaneously on each floor [Read: Siblings can do their chores without fighting!] You don’t need to share products or wait until the other is finished.

•When someone gets sick in the middle of the night [and you’re half asleep, and don’t want to trudge downstairs], everything is handy for clean up.

•SURPRISE! You have an unexpected five minutes free in your schedule, this is a great time to grab your caddy and mark something off your list!

Happy cleaning,

~Leslie and Janie
