 In Weekly Meal Plan

We get lots of great food each week just across the front school yard at Sassy Pea Market. Nancy is a friend and former client trying to help families connect with local food vendors and artisans. Grass fed beef, pastured pork, organic chicken, organic eggs, tamales, fresh baked goods, Texas pecans, locally made pasta, salsas, and jams await you! We’d love it if you help support her in her noble cause, y’all! The kids gobble up everything we bring over from Sassy Pea!

Monday

AM: steel cut oatmeal w/ cinnamon, brown sugar, butter, and organic milk

Lunch: homemade spinach feta pizza and Central Market cheese pizza, buttered organic mixed vegetables

PM: cheddar cheese cubes, mozzarella cheese sticks, pretzels

Tuesday

AM: bananas

Lunch: black bean/cheese/organic kale enchilada casserole, Texas orange and grapefruit slices

PM: homemade rice crispy treats (rice cereal, brown rice syrup, almond butter)

Wednesday

AM: organic pear slices

Lunch: homemade meat lasagna (local grass fed beef, lasagna noodles, organic marinara sauce, cottage cheese, mozzarella cheese), homemade breadsticks

PM: local tortilla chips, mild salsa

Thursday

AM: Schumann Bakehaus birdseed bars

Lunch: quinoa cakes (organic quinoa, organic carrots, local organic eggs, Parmesan cheese, organic green onion), organic spinach salad w/ organic apples and homemade balsamic vinaigrette

PM: organic popcorn w/ butter, dried plums

Friday

AM: organic raisin bran

Lunch: sausage/potato quiche (local pastured pork, organic potatoes, local organic eggs), fresh pineapple

PM: end of week GEDS snack mix!

Teachers: organic spring greens, vinaigrettes, honey mustard dressing, hard boiled organic eggs, seared skirt steak, veggie crudites (organic cherry tomatoes, red pepper strips, organic carrots, organic celery), Asian noodle soups, hummus, rice crackers, organic peanut butter, Wonderbars, dark chocolate
