 In Our Daily Rhythm

What a bee-u-tee-ful day!

•Treehouse enjoyed homemade brown rice treats on the front lawn, they were delicious, and sticky!
•the sandbox is still uber-popular and the cleaned up labyrinth, too!
•we made whole wheat bread for lunch…Treehouse enjoyed some with honey.
•the kids love building with logs and stumps indoors…
•exposed closets and bookshelves are cozy spots for the dollhouse and a silk play stand entrance to ____, whatever the kids imagine in our Treehouse “home room”…
•we have a new handmade wooden barn, farm animal figures, corral, iron, and ironing board…
•Teachers are adding handmade squirrels and nuts to the classrooms…
•Three couples were married today in the Treehouse, clad in silks…
•Treehouse lunch…note one little girl dabbing the corners of her mouth with her napkin!

Treehouse parents, we did have a hygiene lesson today. With lots of runny noses, picking, and (gasp!) booger eating, we talked about the importance of getting a tissue to blow noses or to pick noses in the bathroom with a tissue, followed by lengthy hand-washing. Additionally, we let the kids know that eating boogies with unclean finger nails, etc. can let worm eggs, etc. get in their bellies. They loved the “real” conversation and knew just what we were talking about. Delivery was gentle, kind, and hopefully gave them an appropriate way to take care of their noseies.
