 In Our Daily Rhythm
We’re hoping for rain today! The children are really enjoying the treasure chest of clothing and costumes. They have been very anxious for time to dress up.
Community: circle songs, read Dora’s Opposites, Letter “F”, A Treasury For Four Year Olds
Outside: dump trucks, trains, horse swing, tag, painting
Music: listened to I Can Make Music cd, the children listened and followed the directed motions/actions [i.e. walk like a cat, etc.]

Art: the children painted outside today using the color red

Fine Motor: worked with some of our new montessori fine motor centers–practicing zipping, buckling and buttoning, beeswax modeling during circle, unifix cubes, arranging magnets

Inside: played with the new train table; built a train track, dressed up using clothing and costumes from the treasure chest

Cooking: Olivia, Iris and Asa helped make homemade turkey meatballs to go with the marinara and pasta shell dish for lunch, the children served their friends and helped clear the table after each meal

Breakfast: sausage links, scrambled eggs, milk, hashbrowns, biscuits
Lunch: homemade marinara sauce and shells, homemade meatballs, fresh plums, milk
